RATES AND FEES

​

Fee guidelines are set out by the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee: 

​

  • $500.00 for either Guardianship or Trusteeship;

  • $700 for both Guardianship and Trusteeship.

​

  • Additional administration fees may apply for travel or for extra time spent on complex cases.

​

  • Medical/legal consultation fees are determined on an individual basis and are provided via an engagement of service contract.

WHAT DOES THE FEE COVER?

A variety of factors determine the total fee for a capacity assessment. Some of these include:

  • Time spent performing the actual assessment(s)

  • Time spent collecting collateral information

  • Complexity of the client's condition

  • Expenses incurred (e.g. travel)

  • Completion of required forms

If ability to pay is a factor for you in getting a Guardianship and/or Trusteeship assessment do not hesitate to contact me as there may be alternate funding options available.
